Rugby Hive partners with World Rugby Shop

Rugby Hive is proud to announce a brand-new partnership with WorldRugbyShop.com, the world’s leading online rugby store.

“Creating top quality, professional rugby content week-in week-out requires in-depth knowledge, tenacity, and resources. As the retail partner of Rugby Hive, our aim is to allow fans to show their support for their favorite news and rugby entertainment source through high quality Rugby Hive merchandise.”

– Bernard Frei, CEO & Founder, WorldRugbyShop.com

Season Two of The Rugby Hive Podcast is set to launch later this month, building on the highly successful Season One in which creators Dallen Stanford and Robin MacDowell interviewed 24 guests – ranging from Rugby World Cup winner, Springbok Bryan Habana, to Japanese Women’s Head Coach Lesley McKenzie. In Season Two, the pair will continue to talk with current and former international 7s and 15s players and coaches to uncover interesting stories, discuss their fascinating journeys, and hear their advice for the next generation.

Stanford has been involved with the American rugby landscape for 18 years, having represented USA on the World Rugby Sevens Series from 2007 to 2009. Since 2015, he has been a lead commentator for World Rugby, covering the 2019 Rugby World Cup, 2018 Sevens World Cup, Sevens World Series, Americas Rugby Championship, and Major League Rugby on CBS Sports Network and Fox Sports.

“WorldRugbyShop.com has been the number one online rugby supplier since the days of the fax machine! We knew we wanted to partner with the best in the industry and are extremely excited for them to bring The Rugby Hive merchandise to life,” said Stanford.

MacDowell played for Canada on the World Rugby Sevens Series, going head-to-head against his Podcast co-host! He transitioned to coaching, and has vast experience at the international level, most notably five years with the Mexican Women’s National Sevens team through the 2018 Rugby World Cup 7s in San Francisco as well as their Olympic qualification and appearance. For the past six years, MacDowell has worked with the Canadian Men's and Women's 7s pathway programs.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with a class organization like WorldRugbyShop.com! The Rugby Hive Podcast is focused on engaging and inspiring listeners from around the globe. Aligning ourselves with the premier supplier is a perfect fit," reflected MacDowell.

WorldRugbyShop.com has been a proud supporter of USA Rugby since 1999. They are committed to growing the game at all levels in the United States, providing team kits, equipment, and rugby apparel to the Eagles national teams as well as 750 US Pro, College, High School, and Club teams. Standard orders ship same day from their headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.

“We are delighted to partner with Rugby Hive. Rugby in the United States and Canada is a tight-knit community that requires that we support one another. We have enjoyed watching Robin and Dallen develop The Hive from a fledgling concept to an established rugby media in a short space of time. As international athletes, coaches, and commentators, they have a distinctive insight into the elite game in North America and a unique understanding of what it means to compete in the MLR and on the international stage,” Frei said.

The rugby community can support The Rugby Hive by visiting the World Rugby Shop online store and picking up a few of the 46 sleekly designed products currently on offer. With international shipping available, both domestic and global rugby followers can get involved!
